experience of over 35 years of legal practice. This office is
conveniently located across the street from Snohomish County Superior
Court, and Snohomish County District Court, Everett Division. Parking
is free adjacent to this office building.
Our practice emphasis is, in part, the
representation of those persons accused of a crime, in other words
"criminal defense". Specifically it may include the following:
-
Felonies:
this includes homicides, assaults, property offenses, drug offenses,
and domestic violence. In addition to many other violations of the
State Code involving a maximum sentence of more than 1 year.
-
Misdemeanor/Gross-Misdemeanors:
these include domestic violence, assaults, property offenses,
violations of no contact orders, drug offenses, and a number of other
violations of the criminal code with a maximum sentence of less than 1
year.
-
Driving while Under the
Influence
(DUI):
this office also represents people accused of alcohol related offenses.
This may include; DUI, Physical Control, and minor DUI.
If you, a friend, or family member are suspected of committing any of
these crimes, please contact this office immediately. It is important
to get legal representation as soon as possible, before you are
formally charged.
We also represent persons involved in
administrative proceedings which may be associated with a criminal case.
-
Department of Licensing (DOL)
Hearings:
recent amendments to the DUI statute have expanded the DUI
administrative hearing process to include persons providing a breath
test result of greater than .08. You must request a hearing within 30
days of the date of arrest, if you don't you will lose your license.
Please contact this office as soon as possible, so that we may file the
request for a hearing and represent.
-
Seizure & Forfeiture
Proceedings:
sometimes the State of Washington will attempt to seize your property
if involved in the manufacturing, possession, or transportation of
illegal drugs. There is a limited amount of time in which you may
request a hearing, so you must act quickly. Please contact our office
immediately upon receipt of any notice of forfeiture, or if you suspect
a Notice of Forfeiture is forthcoming.
- Personal Injury/Auto Accidents:
this office also represents people that have been injured in an
accident, typically an auto-accident. We initiate contact with the
insurance companies involved, and this communication continues until
the injuries is resolved. At that point, it may be time to file a
claim. This initial claim consists of documenting the injuries, pain
and suffering , and wage loss. This will also include a settlement
offer. Of course, you will be fully informed of all the above before a
demand is made.
It is very important that you contact this
office before any substantial communication with insurance adjusters.
This is a basic outline of the various cases
that this office handles. However, the range of cases are certainly
greater than what can be presented in this brief outline, so contact
the office if you have any questions.
